Robert P. Rodophele

Robert P. Rodophele is the Firm’s primary government affairs attorney, representing a wide range of clients on Beacon Hill. Mr. Rodophele has been a registered lobbyist in Massachusetts for 25 years.

Mr. Rodophele is widely viewed among the top attorneys in the state for government relations work. He recently was selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® 2007 in the field of Government Relations Law. (Copyright 2006 by Woodward/White, Inc., of Aiken, S.C.). His legislative clients cover many industries, including alcohol, automotive, biotechnology, entertainment, telecommunications, insurance, and utilities.

Recently, for example, he represented all of the Massachusetts municipal electric companies in developing a legislative strategy to secure their exemption from the 1997 Electric Utility Restructuring Act.

Mr. Rodophele has an extensive background in Massachusetts government, including two years as chief of the Attorney General’s Public Utilities Division. From 1984 to 1986, he served in the Attorney General’s Civil Bureau.

A member of the Massachusetts Bar Association, he holds a J.D. from Boston College Law School and a bachelor’s in business management from Boston College.
