Michael D. Vhay has been named to the Boston Bar Association’s Ethics Committee. This committee provides formal opinions on professional conduct questions, formulates the Boston Bar Association’s position on changes to the rules of professional conduct, and provides an annual ethics training program for newly admitted lawyers. It’s a three-year term.

The Boston Business Journal recently reported that a large nightclub operator is looking to open a new combination restaurant and entertainment venue, Latitude 360, at the Lafayette City Center in Boston’s Downtown Crossing. The area is undergoing a lot of construction with Millennium Tower, a 60-story condominium project at the former Filene’s site, as well as the renovation of the adjacent Burnham building.

Last week, CSP Magazine reported that Tedeschi Food Shops received one of four Leadership in Foodservice Awards at CSP’s 2014 FARE Conference in Dallas. Tedeschi has expanded its selection to include more better-for-you packaged snacks and more fresh cases with prepackaged sandwiches, salads, fruits, and vegetables. Because of its new emphasis on healthy food options, Tedeschi was approached by the YMCA to open a concept store at one of the largest YMCAs in the country. Tedeschi hope to open that store within a few months.

Late last week, both the Boston Business Journal and the MV Times reported that the Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Steamship Authority has unanimously approved a revised design of its new Woods Hole terminal. Both articles discuss the upgrades in amenities and parking.
