Ferriter Scobbo & Rodophele, PC Successfully Defends Age Discrimination Case

 Robert Granger and Sherry Vaughn of Ferriter Scobbo & Rodophele, P.C. successfully defended LoPriore Insurance Agency, Inc., John P. LoPriore, DCRC Insurance Agency, Inc. and Cardinal Chesnick Insurance Agency against claims filed with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (“MCAD”) by a former employee.  The former employee alleged discrimination on the basis of age in violation of state law.

The MCAD investigation found that the insurance agencies had legitimate, non-discriminatory reasons for the employment decisions they made.  The MCAD issued a “Lack of Probable Cause” determination, indicating that its investigation failed to garner sufficient evidence of a state law violation.  Accordingly, it dismissed the employee’s complaint against the agencies.
