Roger M. Freeman specializes in representing technology companies and investors in the alternative energy sector. His clients include a leading national distributed generation company, energy-related software companies, real estate developers and municipal utilities.
Prior to joining the Firm, he practiced corporate and energy law at the former Boston firm Hill & Barlow. From 1995 to 1999, he served as executive vice president and chief operating officer of Citizens Energy Corp., managing business operations and legal affairs.
Mr. Freeman began his legal career in 1993, practicing corporate law in the Washington, D.C., office of O'Melveny & Myers.
A frequent speaker and moderator on distributed generation and alternative energy, he has written several articles for trade publications including The Sun, the magazine of the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, and the Boston Business Journal.
Mr. Freeman received his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a bachelor's in economics, with honors, from Oberlin College.
