We seek to hire a law student able to work a minimum of ten hours per week to undertake responsibility for a variety of tasks including the following:

  • Performing legal and/or factual research investigations as assigned.  This will include the use of the firm’s library, Social Law Library, Westlaw, MA Appellate Tax Board valuation and procedural precedents, and the Internet;. 
  • Analyzing and organizing corporate records, closing binders, case files and records and other documents generated in a client’s legal matter;
  • Assisting with litigation support including drafting and responding to pleadings and to discovery requests;
  • Drafting of correspondence and communicating with clients, opposing counsel, courts, administrative agencies and municipal departments. 

Qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study;
  • Able to work independently and have a flexible attitude with respect to work assignments;
  • Strong working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Able to edit and proof legal documents;
  • Possess strong computer skills working with the Microsoft suite of products.
