John "Jeb" Bryan focuses his practice on construction and environmental matters. Before joining Ferriter Scobbo in 2008, Mr. Bryan was Of Counsel to Seyfarth Shaw LLP in its Construction, Environmental, and Climate Change-Alternative Energy Practice groups. Prior to that, he was the vice president and general counsel for a national environmental and construction consulting firm.

Mr. Bryan's construction practice includes the representation of owners, developers, construction managers, general contractors, subcontractors, EPC contractors, engineers and architects in a broad range of transactional matters and disputes. He has drafted and negotiated complex construction agreements on a variety of public and private projects and has represented clients in mediations, arbitrations, settlement negotiations and litigation. Mr. Bryan also works with clients in the areas of green construction and issues related to LEED certification.

Mr. Bryan's environmental practice includes the representation of owners, lenders and prospective purchasers in the areas of environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance and litigation. He also represents environmental professionals in the drafting and negotiation of contracts for investigation and remediation services and in professional malpractice disputes.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Bryan worked as a civil engineer conducting soil and groundwater investigations, performing feasibility studies, designing groundwater treatment systems, conducting environmental due diligence assessments and performing regulatory compliance audits for private owners and institutions. Mr. Bryan also assisted the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in compliance matters tied to the Resources Conservation and Recovery Act, as well as the oversight of remedial actions under CERCLA.

Mr. Bryan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas and his J.D. with a certificate in environmental law from Lewis & Clark Law School.

He is licensed to practice in Massachusetts and California.
